Our fungus lab is here!

We were delighted to have been selected to take part in the UK's biggest fungus growing campaign! We wanted the opportunity for our children to learn more about the kingdom of fungi - as there's so much more to them than the mushrooms that sit atop their pizzas!

Our GROW WILD fungus labs arrived in May and our 'Chief Executive of Fungus Growing - Angela' set to work refridgerating our mycelium whilst preparing the straw. Once the pasturisation process was complete, the children dispersed the mycelium in the bag and placed the box in a warm place, out of direct sunlight for 4 weeks. We're all looking forward to seeing what happens next...!
