We're delighted to see that our local park is finally open for the summer, following a period of closure for renovation. Many thanks to our local councillors for their efforts to raise funds to replace the existing equipment which was starting to deteriorate. It's a wonderful place for our local community to come and play away an hour or three. The children can enjoy the new 'bumpy' slide and shop area, basket swing, see-saw, witch's hat and shelter. Thank you so much to all the parents who were able to help with the Big Spring Clean this year And, of course, thank you to the children, who had an amazingly messy time helping paint the outdoor fences!
We were delighted to receive support from local builder, Dave Pommeroy of DMP builders and Stuart Gray at Blanchfords in Princes Risborough who donated play sand, MDF for our outdoor blackboard, paints and brushes. Also some materials for our wildlife garden (watch this space...) including several palettes for our bug hotel and chimney pots for our hedgehog houses. An extra special thanks to go to Rachael and Leon, who sourced all the materials, did a lot of prep work, stayed until very late on the day of the clean-up, and who are still finishing off the last bits that time did not allow us to finish on the day.
