Management committee
The pre-school is operated by a management committee of parents who are responsible for policies, finance and staffing. This group also organises fund raising events to provide us the funding
to develop the setting and support the aims of the pre-school.
Your role
At Windmill we actively encourage the involvement of parents and/or carers in a variety of ways. We value the information that you give us about your child and we encourage you to talk to your child’s key worker regularly. We also encourage parents and/or carers to stay for the occasional session. This helps the staff to maintain a high adult/child ratio and also gives you an opportunity to see what your child ‘gets up to!’ The committee also welcomes help and parents are certainly welcome to come along to the half term meetings and contribute to fund raising, either through their time or by bringing in donations when requested.
We also ask you to supply snacks once every half term, to help keep costs down. A rota can be found on the notice board in the foyer – please check to see which snack to bring and ensure that you supply enough for 24 children.
